King's Student Journal

Submission Guidelines

We encourage essays to be accessible and presuppose no philosophical background knowledge on the part of the reader. Pay particular attention to the introduction and motivation of your problem, and include clear and thorough introductions to any debates to which you wish to make a contribution. Essays will be praised for their clarity and originality of thought.

Essays can be of any length between 500 and 4,000 words. Abstracts are optional.

Submission of a manuscript is understood to imply that the paper is original, has not already been published as a whole or in substantial part elsewhere, and is not currently under consideration by any other journal.

Essays must be submitted in a form suitable for anonymous refereeing; personal acknowledgements should be removed. Files must be submitted in PDF or Word format.

The deadline to submit an essay is Monday, June 16th 2025.
